Yorgaki Café

Yorgaki Café, the first and only kafeneion in Paris, pays tribute to Athenian architecture and the flavours of the Mediterranean. Founded in 2019 by creative director Yorgo Tloupas on rue des Martyrs, this Greek café has become an oasis of calm in the heart of the 9th arrondissement. The menu features classics such as Yorgyros sandwiches, Greek salad and traditional Greek coffee, slowly brewed in hot sand in a briki. A small grocery also offers olives, sardines, wines and olive oils imported from Greece. Straw chairs, white and blue tiles, cobalt tables: the space calls to mind a village on the cliffs of the Aegean. Yorgaki Café is a little gem not to be missed, Wednesday to Sunday.
