Established in 1910 in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Hôtel Lutetia is the only palace hotel on the Left Bank, host to literary giants and cultural icons. This vintage bread and butter plate, selected by GIFTSHOP, was designed by Sonia Rykiel and produced by Bauscher Weiden: fine porcelain rimmed in black and pink, with a slightly irregular finish beneath the classic Lutetia typography.

The Hôtel Lutetia, founded in 1910 by the Boucicaut family, founders of Le Bon Marché, is a historic Parisian institution. The only palace hotel on the Left Bank, it marks a pivotal moment in architectural history, at the crossroads of Art Nouveau and Art Deco: its facade pairs ribbons of foliage and playful cherubs with the symmetrical, pared-back rigour of the structure. It has welcomed a host of illustrious guests, from Hemingway to Charlie Chaplin and Picasso. If its walls could talk, they would tell tales of elegance, struggle, survival and rebirth. Today, on boulevard Raspail, it welcomes visitors from around the world in an atmosphere made for relaxation and good company alike.
