Tail o’ the Pup’s giant hotdog-shaped building has been attracting visitors to Hollywood since 1946. It used to be near the Beverly Center, serving as the backdrop for countless movies and TV shows (“Columbo,” “The Muppets”, “The Rockford Files”, “L.A. Story”...). It jumped around over the years in an attempt to avoid the wrecking ball, finally meeting its demise in 2005. Declared a city landmark, it spent the next 17 years hanging out in a dark warehouse until it was brought back to life on Santa Monica Bvd in 2022.
With their tasty dogs, snacks, and milkshakes on the menu, celebrities, tourists, and locals still flock to Tail o’ the Pup just to have their pictures taken with this iconic, larger-than-life hotdog stand.
