Rory's Place

Rory’s Place is a successful restaurant in Ojai, California, opened in February 2022 by the McAuliffe sisters, Rory and Meave. Raised in their mother's bakery in Santa Monica, the sisters have a long history of culinary collaboration. The food they serve is a combination of fresh, inventive dishes, like crudos, gem salads, and wood-fired vegetables, as well as familiar favorites given creative updates. The interior design, developed in partnership with LA-based Dusk.Work, is notable for its custom woodworking and concrete elements, including a beautifully crafted bar facade, stone tables, and banquettes. In addition to a bustling back patio and a robust natural wine list, there is a shoppable pantry stocked with premium items. Sustainability is integral to their operations, with produce sourced from local farmers in Ojai, Santa Barbara, and nearby regions.
