Since 1893, Maxim's has embodied Belle Époque Paris, a legendary dining room for artists, aristocrats and celebrities. This vintage porcelain tray from the 1980s, selected by GIFTSHOP, reproduces a lithograph by the celebrated caricaturist Sem, drawn in the early twentieth century, showing festive guests inside the restaurant.
A rare piece rich in history, it keeps coins, keys and the small things of the day in very good company.

Maxim's is a landmark institution of the French capital, founded in 1893 at 3 rue Royale in the 8th arrondissement. This legendary restaurant, now a historic monument, embodies the elegance and refinement of the Belle Époque. It has long been a key venue of Parisian life, welcoming artists, aristocrats and celebrities from around the world. Led by Laurent de Gourcuff within the Paris Society group, Maxim's carries on this tradition of haute cuisine and can seat up to three hundred guests. The house opens every day: for dinner from Monday to Friday, and for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
