The story

Floderer, the brasserie in the Cour des Petites-Écuries in the 10th arrondissement, opened in 1909. It bears the name of its founder, Monsieur Floderer, and Alsatian specialities have remained a signature of its cooking ever since, alongside seafood and brasserie dishes.

In 1918 the house took the name Flo, by which Paris would know it for a century. In 1968 Jean-Paul Bucher took it over: it became the first brasserie of his Flo group, which later gathered other Paris houses, such as the Balzar on Rue des Écoles.

In February 2018 Jean-Noël Dron, head of Les Grandes Brasseries de l’Est, gave it back its original name, Floderer, as he did for his brasserie in Strasbourg. In 2024 the Dorénavant studio, with the architects Kevin Zanni and Olivier Lopez, renovated the room: the shadows of an Alsatian winstub gave way to light, while the history of the place was brought forward.

The house belongs to a collection of historic brasseries in Paris, Reims, Nancy and Strasbourg. From breakfast to late supper it serves seafood, choucroute, traditional dishes and Alsatian specialities. In its courtyard, a large shaded terrace offers a quiet table in summer.
