We sat down with Emmanuel Peña Treviño, the founder of Tarántula—a groundbreaking restaurant and wine bar redefining Mexican cuisine in Paris. A driving force in innovative gastronomy, Emmanuel honours his hometown of Monterrey with a modernist approach, curating a stunning culinary space in the heart of the 11th arrondissement. We visited the new institution and met the enthusiastic team behind this fiery spot.
Le Café des Ministères
At Café des Ministères one can expect a combination of tradition and quality, with a modern mindset, newly helmed by husband and wife team Jean and Roxane Sévègnes. The culinary power-couple took over the esteemed institution in 2019, which has been met with overwhelming praise for the new life injected into the classic French menu by the Ducasse-trained chef.
At Yorgaki Café
Yorgaki Café proudly holds the title of Paris’s first—and only—Greek café. Co-founded by Emmanuelle Beaudet and renowned creative director and typography expert Yorgo Tloupas, whose striking visual campaigns have shaped global brands across fashion, sports, and the automotive industry, Yorgaki is more than just a café—it’s a cultural statement. Previously the creative director of GQ France, Tloupas brings the same level of design precision and storytelling to Yorgaki. From the Cyclades inspired visual identity to the seasonal menu, every detail has been carefully curated. What sets Yorgaki apart isn’t just the quality of its Greek cuisine—it’s the people. The entire team is either of Greek origin or fluent in Greek, making the experience as authentic as it is welcoming. We had the chance to meet the passionate team and speak with Yorgo himself to talk about the inspiration behind Yorgaki and his unique perspective on the Institutions of Paris.

Le Verre Volé is a true institution in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, nestled in the heart of the lively Oberkampf neighborhood. This bistro-wine bar, founded in 2000, has carved out a special place for itself in the Parisian gastronomic landscape.
