The Table Napkin

€30

Faithful to its traditions since 1923, SAVY is a Paris bistro with an iconic red awning, and this linen napkin could have been lifted straight from one of its tables. Its name is embroidered in matching red, and it was custom-made by Garnier Thiebaut, a house known for 200 years of passion and quality. Durable and designed in Paris, it is meant to be stained with laughter, friends and delicious meals.

It is hard to find a more authentic bistro than the culinary institution SAVY, on rue Bayard in the 8th arrondissement. This much-loved bistro serves quality French cooking, both generous and refined, to a loyal local clientele who return for dishes that never go out of fashion. Grenouilles persillées, œuf mayo and a giant millefeuille are among the local delights served since it opened in 1923, alongside the côte de veau and côte de bœuf, the house's signature dishes. The tiny bistro sports a classic Art Deco setting, with its metal bar and a beautiful mosaic floor, acting as a time capsule of the 1920s.
