The Egg Mayo Socks

€15

At Bouillon Pigalle, the œufs mayonnaise are a cult favourite, and here they become cheerful caricatures by the beloved illustrator Jean-Michel Tixier. Sunny yellow heels and toes evoke the soft centre of the recipe, while the bright red Bouillon logo discreetly signs the design.

A wearable keepsake of shared meals, bustling waiters and grand dining rooms full of laughter, with considerably less mayonnaise involved.

Bouillon

Bouillon Pigalle is a living institution of the 18th arrondissement, keeping alive the spirit of the great nineteenth-century Parisian bouillons. A short walk from the Moulin Rouge and the Sacré-Cœur, this popular spot, opened in 2017 by Pierre and Guillaume Moussié, faithfully revisits a tradition dear to Paris: generous meals, accessible to all, served in a lively, warm atmosphere.

Behind its large windows you find the soul of the old bouillons: iconic red banquettes, Gatti and Thonet chairs, waiters in traditional uniform. Much loved for its gentle prices, Bouillon Pigalle draws an eclectic crowd with a menu faithful to brasserie classics: leeks vinaigrette, eggs mayonnaise, beef bourguignon, duck confit and rice pudding.
