A stroll from the Eiffel Tower, La Fontaine de Mars has welcomed locals, travelers and famous faces since 1908, among red leather benches and red-and-white checkered serviettes. This off-white cotton cap carries the house typography embroidered on the front and a discreet checkered motif stitched on the back.
Finished with a leather strap and embossed metal hardware, it hides the same checkered print in its lining. A finely made classic.
La Fontaine de Mars
Tucked away on a charming square a few streets from the Eiffel Tower, La Fontaine de Mars is a bistro full of character that embodies traditional French cooking. Recognisable by its red-and-white checked tablecloths, this institution on rue Saint-Dominique has been delighting lovers of south-western flavours since 1908. At the helm for more than thirty years, chef Pierre Saugrain makes a point of selecting quality produce and preserving the authenticity of the recipes. Signature dishes include the house duck terrine and œufs meurette, a delicious journey through the region. On sunny days, the terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while soaking up the Parisian charm.
