Tarántula brought a Mexican cantina to Rue Keller, in Paris's 11th arrondissement, with an inventive menu that runs from wild mushroom tacos to spicy chanterelles and oyster mushrooms on corn tortillas. Its wine glasses quickly became the most coveted objects in the room, and owner-chef Maniu has refused every request to sell them since opening. Until now. Pour something good, and keep in mind that there won't be enough for everyone.
Tarantula
Within the walls of the legendary Parisian bistro Le Petit Keller, on rue Keller, lies a spicy institution that has been bringing inventive Mexican cooking to the 11th arrondissement since 2024. Tarantula is exactly what the Parisian food scene was waiting for: a chef-driven menu created by founder and chef Emmanuel Peña Treviño, paired with a low-lit atmosphere, a Latin American playlist and a colourful wine list. The combination of original tacos, bold sides and unique desserts certainly lays the foundations for an excellent meal at this new institution. The thirty-seat dining room opens from Tuesday to Saturday, evenings only, and bookings are taken through its Instagram account.
