The Cake Plate

€35

The cake plate of Bar Principal, bearing the house logo and line in the colors of this iconic Parisian establishment. Finely made and quietly graphic, it is the kind of piece that turns a simple slice of tart into a small occasion, whether at teatime or at the end of a long dinner.

Made for dessert, and for the conversation that follows it. A souvenir of a Paris address, to use every day.

After the restaurant Brutos, opened in 2017, Lucas Baur de Campos and Ninon Lecomte launched Bar Principal in 2021 in the adjoining space, still facing square Gardette in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. The bar pays tribute to the botecos of Brazil, the duo's home country: here you snack with precision on tapioca cubes and their famous "not smash burger".

Behind the counter, mixologist Maxime Hinckel composes a sharp cocktail list, complemented by a selection of natural wines, designed for the beginning, middle and end of the evening. The bar takes no reservations and opens every day in the late afternoon; the best seat remains a stool at the bar, watching the drinks flow.
