The Ice Cream Coupe

€35

These are the iconic ice cream coupes of Folderol, the Parisian ice cream parlor and wine bar, crafted by Letang Remy between 1970 and 1990. In stainless steel and several sizes, each is sourced, cleaned and engraved with the house's charming mascot.

Every coupe is unique and chosen at random for each order, so no two tables look quite the same. A little surprise, served chilled.

Folderol

Folderol brings two pleasures together under one roof: an ice cream parlour and a wine bar, opened in 2020 on rue du Grand-Prieuré, in the 11th arrondissement, by Jessica Yang and Robert Compagnon, the husband-and-wife owners of Le Rigmarole, the restaurant next door.

Here you eat scoops of ice cream served in vintage metal coupes, with a glass of natural wine alongside, unless you take the bottle away. Everything is home-made, and the focaccia alone is worth the trip. Open Wednesday to Sunday, from 4 pm to 11 pm, with no bookings, it suits an ice cream in the afternoon as well as an aperitif that drifts gently into the evening.
